Mercy or hate?

Today I had a time to share the difference between the true gospel of God and the Mormon Gospel. As awesome as that seems, it must be realized how hurtful it is to both sides of the discussion.

First off, the reason i shared with them
why I accepted their invitation to talk was to stop their false gospel from moving further and to save them (the two men) from it.

Secondly, my mission was clear from Jude 22-23, and 2 John 10: to show mercy with extreme fear and care for myself while hating their garment stained with flesh. How can one do that? John Macarthur shares an experience where he had these guys running away on their bicycles!

Simple, love Jesus Christ above all things and don't let anyone snatch you away from the truth, or let them slander who He is in any way because when they do, they send themselves and others to hell.

Then understand that those who are teaching these things might not exactly know what they are doing. As far as many sincere Mormons know, they're serving God. But open your Bible and show them why they are actually working against God.

As they defended their religion, one shared how sad he was to experience many people's desire for the LDS (Latter Day Saints) Church to be destroyed, even while it brings so many blessings to people. But like I shared with him in the beginning, it's because I don't want him to go to hell.

Christians, understand that it's hard for them to leave Mormonism. Both of these men I talked to had full families back home who were Mormon. If they were to leave, they would be losing a lot; perhaps more than many of us have lost. And they are blinded by the blessings of the prince of this world.

But remember that they will gain so much more with God's word untainted. This is why it was hurtful for him; yet it's hurtful for me to see this man tied by Satan's lies. Satan's tied him down to legalism, his family, his faith, his life, all his thoughts and his emotions; all tied down to this belief revealed by an "angel of light".

I was mixed with Joy that their gospel was discouraged; but I could see the pain Satan causes him. Because of Satan, these people are prisoners, and Christians have to fight THAT MUCH HARDER! Don't encourage them, but be merciful!
